Our Milestones

2001

An enthusiastic young Ideal Group transforms from a domestic cleaning company to a retail contractor, securing work with Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer, and Pizza Hut.

2002

The Ideal Group develops its services and enters the construction industry, securing a number of major projects on the basis of recommendations alone!

2003

The Ideal Group moves again, this time to introduce our fire and flood emergency services, along with restoration work, providing essential restoration services to the Haymarket Theatre following a fire in the adjoining premises.

2004

The Ideal Group steps up to larger contracts as a result of the Fire fighters strike which saw increased fire damage and bigger clean-up projects. Our involvement in the restoration of Henlow Grange, provided an opportunity us to prove that our team had what it took to deliver effective support in the face of extensive loss by a client.

2005

The Ideal Group takes the lead in the adoption of new rapid drying technology as it was introduced to the UK. Ideal successfully deployed the new technology on projects in Carlyle, where floods affected 3,000 domestic and commercial properties.

2007

The Ideal Group became heavily involved in the 2007 nationwide floods, working flat out on rapid drying programmes in Tewkesbury, Gloucester, Sheffield, Hull and elsewhere. This was made possible by our investment in some of the most advanced drying technology in the UK. Projects included the recovery of major retailers at the Meadowhall Shopping Centre (where the river diverted through the Sheffield shopping centre) and the rapid drying of 15 buildings at the Sydney Smith School in Kingston Upon Hull in time for the return of 1,600 pupils from their summer holidays (well, you can’t please everyone).

2009

The Ideal Group hits a major growth milestone and tops the £2 million turnover mark for the first time.

2011

The Ideal Group embarks on an initiative to implement a unique quality management system that will secure our ability to increase the capacity of the company to offer efficient, quality assured services to a growing portfolio of clients both locally and nationally.
