Firefighters Called To Floods

Firefighters were called out to help a Beckenham resident who experienced a domestic flood, The Times Series report.
The house, situated in Gordon Road, Beckenham, became flooded after a washing machine malfunctioned.
The downstairs floor was affected by flood damage , however the rest of the house remained relatively undamaged.

Call For Listed Barn’s Restoration

A derelict listed medieval barn, situated at the hub of Ledbury town, may be far too expensive to save, says the Ledbury Reporter.
Herefordshire Council is looking to rid themselves of St Katherine’s Barn onto a private company or community group, as part of its “asset review” programme.
The Council report states: “This is a listed building and its community asset transfer would remove maintenance liabilities of £600,000.”
